Do you need an Engineering Study?
SADEV has the solution
What is an engineering study?
What does an engineering study contain?
An engineering study is a set of well-founded assumptions that will be used to define the sizing, performance, weight, and environmental constraints. Following the assumptions made about the project, a second part is dedicated to the results of analyses performed through calculations using software and other calculation tools. SADEV has a strong expertise in the sizing of components used in building glass fixings. European standards, Eurocodes, and the various standards in the countries where projects are carried out are studied and respected by our engineers. We have the capability to anticipate all constraints through sequential calculations and the consideration of operational loads on the fixings.
When do you need an engineering study?
An engineering study is typically required when additional justification is needed for a fastening system or during the conceptualization of an architectural idea. Calculation notes are useful whenever precise technical design is required to ensure the safety and reliability of the structure or construction project.
We perform engineering study for:
- The design of complex structures: large-scale projects or those with unusual structures.
- Compliance with building standards and codes: to demonstrate that the design and materials used comply to the safety standards in effect in the country or region of the project.
- Sizing structural elements: calculating resistance to expected loads and considering allowable stresses.
- Seismic safety: a calculation note is essential in seismic regions to design structures resistant to earthquakes and seismic loads.
- Wind resistance analysis: calculating stresses due to wind forces for tall or exposed structures.
- Special or custom projects: for unique or innovative projects that deviate from standard norms.

TEST MANAGEMENT
TEST MANAGEMENT
Following the completion of a calculation note, tests may be conducted to optimize and validate the fastening components according to the standards of each country.
SADEV manages all testing either in-house through its “SADEV LAB” or externally with accredited specialized laboratories. Validation tests must be carried out to ensure that the designs meet performance, quality, and durability standards in accordance with the requirements of the countries involved.
We conduct your ATEx for all types of projects in France.
