The famous Italian architect Renzo Piano designed this project in partnership with Deverini Architects. The goal was to elevate the waterfront to the same quality standard as the Promenade Princesse Grace while aligning it with the continuity of the Mareterra project. Simplification and unification were the key principles behind this realization. Renzo Piano envisioned a space that followed the distinctive curve of the bay, giving it geometric continuity while creating an inviting environment for both users and businesses.
The SABCO railing system was, therefore, a perfectly suited solution to provide transparency and depth to this promenade, enhancing the beauty of the Monaco coastline. The adjustment capability of our 7010 rail systems’ glass balustrade allowed for precise alignment of the guardrails. Our team also provided technical support by supplying calculation notes to meet linear force and wind load constraints.
SADEV’s role:
SADEV supplied 600 linear meters of SABCO 7010 glass guardrails with calculation notes. This configuration of balustrades, including a curved section and our glass handrails, ensures pedestrian safety without compromising the stunning landscape of the Monaco bay.
