Warranty

SB INGENIERIE (SADEV) guarantees to its customers for two (2) years from the date of invoice, that the product it supplies is free of defects in material, design and workmanship. For products integrated in the door opening (sliding or pivoting), the warranty applies for two (2) years from the date of the invoice or 50,000 cycles.

SADEV also warrants for two (2) years from the date of invoice that the powder-coated finish will not crack, peel or blister.

The warranty hereby described above is null and void under the following conditions:

– Use of the product that is not specified or not in accordance with its intendant purpose, uses and/or SADEV specifications (including product diversion, non-standard or inappropriate use);
– Installation or assembly not compliant to the applicable local regulations and codes, or to SADEV’s instructions and recommendations (according to SADEV’s installation guide);
– Any modification of the product made by the customer;
– Exposure of the product to mechanical and physical loads that cannot be considered as normal or foreseen for this system The customer must verify that the structure on which the product will be installed is well adapted;
– Exposure of the product to environmental influences (outside as well as inside), climatic conditions or situations that can reasonably be expected to cause abnormal wear or wear above the usual level.
– Damage to the product due to natural disasters, animals, or any external cause (e.g. falling objects, stones, branches, etc.).
– Damage due to acts of vandalism.
– Damage to the product due to lack of care and maintenance (according to SADEV maintenance guide).
– Emission of noise from the product, particularly in the following cases: incorrect installation, expansion and contraction due to climatic effects (particularly in the event of strong temperature variations), structural movement, etc.
– Abnormal wear and tear of the product or its components.
– Defects or damage to the product caused by exposure to corrosive products, including (without limitation) vapors, chemicals, abrasive compounds, contamination, pollution, salt fog.
– Absence of any of SADEV’s markings, brands, patented plates, numbers, or other information on the product, in the event that these have been erased or removed by the customer.

The present guarantees only concern hidden defects. The customer being a professional, the hidden defect is understood to be an abnormal defect on the product, making it unfit for use and not likely to be detected by the customer before use.

Under these guarantees, SADEV will only be held responsible for the repair or replacement of the defective product. SADEV will be responsible for the return transportation costs of the defective product and the outward transportation of the replacement product. The Customer shall not be able to claim damages, for any reason whatsoever, or the resolution of the order.

The expenses of removal of the defective product and the installation of the replacement product are not taken in charge under the present guarantee if the responsibility of SADEV is not consulted.
